This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones (if any) this site uses, and how to manage them. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies are used for things like remembering preferences, keeping you signed in, or measuring how a site is used. Similar technologies — like local storage or browser session storage — work in a comparable way.
2. What this site uses
This website is intentionally light on tracking. At the time of writing it does not use:
- Advertising or remarketing cookies
- Third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- Social-media tracking pixels
- Heatmap or session-replay tools
The only cookies that may be set are essential ones, used for:
- Security and load balancing — by the hosting platform, to keep the site fast and to mitigate abuse.
- Preference storage — to remember a small number of UI choices (e.g. reduced-motion preference if it deviates from your system setting).
Essential cookies do not require consent under most data-protection regimes, including the EU ePrivacy Directive, because they are necessary for the site to function.
3. Third-party services
The contact form on /contact posts to FormSubmit to relay your message to our inbox. FormSubmit may set cookies on its own domain as part of that interaction. Their cookie practices are documented on their website.
Images used across the site are served from Unsplash's public CDN (images.unsplash.com). Loading an image from a third-party host can in principle set cookies on that host; we do not control Unsplash's practices.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so for essential cookies may affect the site's normal behaviour. Useful links:
5. Updates
If we add new tracking technologies in future, this page will be updated and we will add a consent banner where consent is legally required.
